Senior Activity Fee
We are excited to announce our new online senior activity fee payment system is up and running! As a quick reminder, the senior activity fee covers the following items/events that all occur throughout your child’s senior year:
- Senior t-shirt (distributed in the fall of senior year)
- Senior breakfasts & Kona Ice (during school day, random dates throughout the year)
- Decision Day celebration (during school day in early May)
- Senior banquet (evening in May, usually held at Valley Brook Country Club)
- Senior Prom ticket (evening in early June, at an offsite venue)
- Graduation expenses (cap, gown, tassel, diploma, diploma cover, USCHS medal, honor cord – if applicable, and all other graduation ceremony expenses)
Online payment system
In January, every student in the rising senior class will be invoiced $200 for their senior activity fee payment through our Focus/Parent Portal system. This fee is due by Dec. 1 of their senior year. Bringing online payments for senior fees to USCHS has been a long process, and we hope this new system is more convenient for everyone!
Step 1: Log into the Parent Portal. Need help logging into the Parent Portal? Please use this link for a helpful guide on how to access the portal - /Domain/679. As a reminder, your username is the email address associated with the account.
Step 2: Once you’ve logged into the Parent Portal, you should see a message that says “You have available invoices! Please review them here” in red text under ALERTS. Click on the red alert to access the billing store where you can pay your senior activity fee.
Step 3: Select VIEW NOW (blue button, located at the top of the screen) to access the billing store.
Step 4: Within the billing store, the invoice will be titled STORE PRODUCT. Click on the square to add that item to your cart. Once you see $200 in your cart, you can proceed to checkout.

Check to see if you have paid some or all of the senior activity fee
A number of families have already paid their senior activity fee or a portion of that fee during freshman year or since January. Please select CUSTOMER LEDGER from the menu on the left side of your screen (located under your child’s name and photo). Your customer ledger should reflect all payments received to date. If you feel there is an error, please contact Brooke Tarcson btarcson@uscsd.k12.pa.us.
Not sure if your child will want to participate in all senior activities (specifically prom, senior banquet, and/or graduation)?
We offer an A LA CARTE payment option for all seniors not interested in the bigger senior events. Please reach out to me (Brooke Tarcson, btarcson@uscsd.k12.pa.us) with any questions.
A la carte payments are as followed:
- Baccalaureate & Commencement: $50
- Senior Banquet: $60
- Prom: $120
As you can see, if your child is going to attend all events, it is a better deal to pay the $200 senior activity fee. If your child is only interested in attending graduation, $50 will cover all graduation costs. If your child is interested in attending the senior banquet and graduation, that fee would be $110 for those two events.
Please note, all à la carte prices will increase by $20.00 after May 1 of senior year.
Please let Mrs. Brooke Tarcson (btarcson@uscsd.k12.pa.us) know if you are interested in the à la carte payment option. Your invoice in Focus/Parent Portal will be adjusted to reflect your child’s wishes. We just ask for confirmation by Dec. 1 of senior year, so we can plan events with the correct number of seniors attending.
After December 1st of senior year, all payments will need to be made using a check or cash. Online payment sales will end.
Not interested in paying online?
You do not have to pay online. We will still accept payments by check (made payable to USCHS), money orders, or cash. You can either mail your payment to the school (1825 McLaughlin Run Road, Pittsburgh PA 15241) or your child can drop off the payment to the main office or the activities office (inside cafe321) any time.
Regardless of how you pay, you can check the customer ledger (info above) to view your balance owed. Once we receive your payment, we will update the Parent Portal to reflect payment.
Financial Hardship
If the senior activity fee is a financial hardship for your family, please reach out to your senior's counselor.
