Physical Education Department
Physical Education is required of all students in grades 9 through 11. Activities, are designed to meet the students' developmental needs including physical, mental, emotional, and social. The ability to participate with others in various games and sports promotes cooperation, respect for individuals and groups, initiative, and a feeling of personal worth. All of these objectives are achieved through a varied program of physical fitness, team sports, and lifetime sports.
Every student is required to complete a one-semester course in health education during the freshman year in high school. The course is structured to help students form healthy habits and attitudes based on scientific knowledge of health and related topics.
