Dr. Colin Syme, an Upper St. Clair High School science teacher and the high school’s science curriculum leader, has been selected to serve on the Pennsylvania Science Leadership Collaborative, where he will help guide science education initiatives across the commonwealth.

Upper St. Clair High School senior Rasika Khedikar has been named the recipient of the 2026 Caplan-Lieber Human Relations Award, presented by the Pittsburgh Area Jewish Committee Donor Advised Fund and the Jewish Community Center.

Incoming Upper St. Clair High School freshman Jad Rawagah has qualified for the 2026 USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships following a standout performance at the USATF Region 2 Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships, held July 10-12 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

A team of four Upper St. Clair High School students has been named a Grand Prize winner in the Tikkun Olam Makers (TOM) Global Innovation Challenge. TOM is a nonprofit organization that connects innovators with people living with disabilities to develop technologies that promote greater independence and improve quality of life.  

Trevor McClintock-Comeaux, who will begin his senior year at Upper St. Clair High School this fall, recently had the opportunity to perform alongside professional actors as a member of the teen ensemble in Pittsburgh CLO's production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
